The MLK Loveland Events committee is a 30-year-old non-profit volunteer organization composed of concerned citizens, business owners, community leaders, educators and fellow non-profits. We work to bring the highest quality of programs free of charge to the broadest multi-generational audience possible in Loveland and northern Colorado.
We provide educational programs, cultural events and outreach and collaborate with the Thompson School District, LISA program, No Place for Hate, Loveland Public Library, Loveland Museum, League of Women Voters, AIMS Community College, University of Northern Colorado, Colorado State University and the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Colorado Holiday Commission, among many many others.
We have been bringing the message, values and teachings of Dr. King, enhancing curriculum, fostering diversity, and providing unique events in the Loveland community and Northern Colorado since 1989. All of our events and outreach is provided free to the public.
Donated funds help cover direct costs of our educational work with students and youth throughout the Thompson School District and expenses related to specific public events. We do not have individuals on salary.
Contributions of $50 or more are printed (with permission) in our annual January Martin Luther King, Jr. Day event program and acknowledged on our website (with permission).
Donations are eligible to be tax deductible under our 501 C 3 designation.
